Introduction

Health Recall ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use the Health Recall mobile application (the "App").

What We Collect

Health Recall collects the following data:

Advertising Identifier & Device ID — collected by Google AdMob, our advertising partner, for personalized advertising. This is the only data sent off your device.

The following data is stored on your device only and is never transmitted to us:

  • Bookmarks you save
  • Allergen profile you configure
  • Notification keywords and preferences
  • Barcode scan history
  • Store alert preferences

Google AdMob (Third-Party Advertising)

We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect your Advertising Identifier (IDFA on iOS) and device information to deliver personalized ads.

Learn more: Google Privacy Policy

You can opt out of personalized advertising in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking (turn off tracking for Health Recall) or in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.

Tracking Consent (ATT & UMP)

On first launch, iOS will ask whether you allow Health Recall to track you across apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). Choosing "Ask App Not to Track" means AdMob will not use your Advertising Identifier for personalized ads.

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or UK, you will also see a consent screen under Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to manage your GDPR choices.

Children's Privacy

Health Recall is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

California Residents — CCPA/CPRA Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how it is used; delete personal information we hold; opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information; and non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

To exercise these rights, contact: support@healthrecall.app

EEA & UK Residents — GDPR Rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, or port your personal data, and to object to processing. You also have the right to withdraw consent at any time.

Our legal basis for processing your Advertising Identifier is consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent through the UMP consent screen (re-accessible from Settings › About in the app) or by revoking tracking in iOS Settings.

To exercise data rights, contact: support@healthrecall.app

Data Security

Data stored on your device (bookmarks, preferences) is protected by iOS's standard sandboxing and device encryption. We do not operate servers that store your personal data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will result in a new effective date and may require you to re-accept terms in the app.
